Congratulations to Zhican Zhou from KAUST Integrated Photonics Lab. He has received the 2026 PSC Tingye Li Memorial Scholarship in recognition of his contributions to integrated photonics research.

Zhican Zhou is a Ph.D. student at the Integrated Photonics Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Yating Wan at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on silicon photonics and novel heterogeneous computing hardware systems.

Presented by the Photonics Society of Chinese Heritage, the Tingye Li Memorial Scholarship recognizes outstanding graduate students in optics and photonics, including areas such as optical communications, optical sensors, and integrated photonics. The 2026 program states that up to two winners are selected, with each recipient receiving a certificate with an achievement citation and a $3,500 award.
